During the beta

The installer is not yet code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC". Click More info → Run anyway. Compare the checksum if you want certainty. Signed builds ship with the public release.

First run

What happens after you install

  1. Open AcboBooks. It starts the 15-day trial automatically — no sign-up screen.
  2. Choose a start. Open the sample company to explore, create a new company, or import from QuickBooks® Desktop.
  3. Set a password. The first user is the administrator. Keep the password somewhere safe — it cannot be recovered.
  4. Work. Everything is enabled during the trial; printed documents carry a small "Trial" mark and the file is capped at 100 transactions.
  5. Buy when ready. Help → Activate, paste the licence key, and the limits lift. See pricing.
