First public build. Windows 10/11, 64-bit. Checksums are listed below the notes.
Core accounting
- Double-entry ledger with balance enforcement on every save; closed-period lock with password; audit trail.
- Invoices, estimates, progress billing, credit memos, statements, sales receipts; receive payments with overpayment guard.
- Bills, pay-bills batch, cheque printing, vendor credits; A/R and A/P aging.
- Items (service, inventory with average cost, non-inventory), customer jobs, classes.
- Reports: profit & loss, balance sheet, trial balance, general ledger, agings, cash vs accrual; print and PDF.
Banking
- OFX Direct Connect profiles per account; OFX/QFX statement import; match / add / rule-route; reconciliation with running difference.
Payroll (US)
- Federal withholding using the IRS Publication 15-T percentage method (2025 tables); Social Security wage-base cap applied by year-to-date; pay stubs.
- W-2 year-end output in the SSA EFW2 format (RA/RE/RW/RT/RF records). Validate with SSA AccuWage before filing.
Multi-currency
- CAD and USD documents with per-document exchange rates; realised gains/losses posted on settlement; home-currency reports.
Migration
- Import from QuickBooks® Desktop: IIF lists (all account types incl. OCLIAB/LTLIAB), quoted names and thousands-separated prices handled; live pull through Intuit's on-device SDK (lists + transactions); idempotent re-import; automatic backup before import.
Multi-user & safety
- Host/client over the office LAN with record locking; roles (admin, bookkeeper, view-only); login lockout after eight failures.
- Integrity check on open; backup before any migration or upgrade; offline, signed licence activation.
Known limitations in this build
- Canadian payroll (CPP/EI/T4) is not yet included.
- The installer is unsigned during the beta (SmartScreen warning on first run).
- macOS build not available yet.
